Paul Clark | Keynote Speaker

Paul was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma where his father pastored Tulsa Baptist Temple, one of the most mission-minded churches in the U.S. at that time. God touched his heart for ministry at age 18, which motivated him to attend Pillsbury Baptist Bible College after graduation, where he met his wife, JoAnne, who was also called to ministry. Paul and JoAnne married and had three children: Jennifer, Emily and Jeremy.  They have ministered to youth in Kansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. While in Tulsa, they took youth groups on mission’s trips to El Salvador, Guatemala and Colombia. In 1977, the Lord called them to Colombia and they arrived to the field in 1980 to work with youth ministries in Baptist churches there. God gave them the vision, “Colombia for Christ” which speaks of establishing a model church in each of the 32 capital cities with the intention of evangelizing the entire country and forming a missionary base to get to the nations. The first church was established in Bogotá and after ten years was turned over to national leadership. That church then became a mother church giving birth to over 40 daughter & granddaughter works planted throughout the country with a strong emphasis upon the preaching of the word of God, biblical discipleship and world missions. Today there are thousands of baptized believers throughout Colombia who have been discipled and equipped to participate in “Colombia for Christ”.

By God’s grace, JoAnne and Paul ministered together in Colombia for 31 years. In July of 2012, God took JoAnne to be with him after battling cancer. Paul returned to Colombia knowing that God’s call continued in his heart. Soon after, the Lord in his watch care and goodness, gave Paul a Colombian family as he remarried and now has  two daughters. Paul considers himself very privileged to have participated in one of the most amazing missionary works that God has done in the world. God has done the supernatural in a country that has been ridden with violence and corruption! Colombia is now becoming a sending headquarters for world missions. To Him be the glory!
